The People Pleaser Inside Of You

You have to decide that you’re worth protecting.

The people pleaser inside of you will stop you from showing up for yourself. The people pleaser inside of you will place you in harm’s way. The people pleaser inside of you will be too distracted to focus on what matters.

The people pleaser inside of you will remain silent when your boundaries are violated. The people pleaser inside of you won’t be able to serve you—or anybody, in the end, because they’ll have you too exhausted to do anything, for anybody. The people pleaser inside of you is not qualified to make choices for you—

You have to choose.

You have to decide that you’re worth protecting. You have to decide that your boundaries are worth honoring.

You have to be willing to choose yourself—because if you refuse to trust your own discernment and set your own boundaries, you will set yourself up for unnecessary pain, misalignment, and suffering. If you can’t tell anybody else “no,” you’ll run out of energy to tell yourself “yes.”
