Dreams Die Inside of Comfort Zones
Finding purpose is not a one-time event, but rather an ongoing journey.
“By letting go of limiting beliefs and embracing new challenges, we create space for new possibilities.”
I get it. I really do. Familiarity makes life easier—even when the life that you’re used to is pulling you out of alignment with your needs and your purpose.
For better or for worse, knowing what to expect is comforting. It’s easier to see around the corner. When the red flags turn into full-on toxicity, you get the comfort of telling yourself that you “always knew this would happen.”
Maybe it would have been better to trust your intuition and walk away, but the life you know is the life you know—and the devil you know is less scary than the infinite possibilities that come with walking into the unknown.
What you need to remember is that the world is always in motion, even when fear has your feet glued to the ground. In this moment, there is no such thing as “the way things were.” There is only motion, unfamiliarity, and change.
Finding purpose is not a one-time event, but rather an ongoing journey. We are all growing in different directions, at different speeds. We will all grow apart from people we love. Situations change. Relationships shift. Memories fade.
But as we inevitably drift apart, we can also make space for people who can meet us where we’re at. We can build new worlds that accommodate the fullness of who we are in the present moment. Dreams die in comfort zones–but when we step into unfamiliar territory, new possibilities emerge.
By letting go of limiting beliefs and embracing new challenges, we create space for new possibilities. We give ourselves a chance to see the world in a different light and discover passions and interests that align with who we are in the present moment.
With Love,
Michell
